DRBU Campus Life

Welcome to DRBU Campus life

DRBU Campus Life aims to foster a caring campus environment that supports students in the activation and embodying of intrinsic wisdom. This is a process of self-cultivation grounded in virtue and guided by insights derived from the study of classical texts. It encompasses all aspects of the student experience. It transforms the relationship with self, others, and the social and natural worlds. We also aspire to create opportunities for students to learn essential life skills that contribute to their well-being and the well-being of communities they participate in.

Campus Life oversees non-academic student services including housing, dining, service scholarship, student activities, health services, spiritual life, and orientation. These services are provided by the Campus Life units, each led by a Unit Coordinator. The Associate Dean oversees the Office of Campus Life.

Residential Life

Residential Life oversees the student dorms, maintaining a staff presence to offer programming and support students in their various needs. We enforce University codes of conduct and facilitate conflict resolution among students. These services are offered by a team of dorm staff and student leaders.

Service Scholarship

Service Scholarship coordinators assign work study jobs in various departments at DRBU and the wider CTTB campus. The coordinators follow up with students and supervisors to help resolve any issues that may arise. Also, they are responsible for ensuring that students fulfill their work responsibilities.

Spiritual Life

Spiritual Life organizes opportunities for meditation, daily spiritual practices, and half-day or daylong retreats. Individual advising by the Men's Chaplain and Women's Chaplain is also available by appointment.

Student Activities

Student Activities organizes campus-wide social gatherings, opportunities for community service, recreational activities, and programs with invited guests. Student Activities also oversees and supports student-run clubs. In addition, it disseminates information about local events.

Health Services

The Health Services on-site licensed Nurse Practitioner is available for consultation, basic medical care and support, and referrals for specialized medical services. A mental health counselor is also available by referral through the Nurse Practitioner. For medical emergencies, call 911. As DRBU does not provide health insurance, all students are required to have their own health insurance.

Dining Services

While school is in session, Dining Services offers three meals a day, a snack program, and a DRBU community dinner on Tuesday. Meals are served at CTTB and Sudhana Center.
